Tendayi is the funky jazz songstress of our era. The Atlanta to New York transplant has studied musical theater, Jazz, Opera, and even written vocals for underground Hip Hop artists. Tendayi has danced and performed vocal accompaniment for a diverse collection of dance companies including Urban Bush Women, ASE Dance Theatre Collective, Nathan Trice / Rituals, and Movement for the Urban Village / MUV.
Her motto is: “when all else fails…scat!” Whether grooving to Billie Holiday or shaking to Uncle Luke, Tendayi is a vintage girl in a ratchet world.
