It’s a #NewYearRevolution! There’s a movement growing! Folks around the world are standing up against injustice. What began in Ferguson in August has grown into a national movement that is not stopping anytime soon.
As for me, well I’ve decided that my revolution lies in the healing. I’ve even had the opportunity to talk about it on Moving Spirits of Color’s online radio show. And on SATURDAY, JANUARY 24th, I’ll manifest that space yet again with the support of the JACK in Brooklyn (505 1/2 Waverly Ave.). In the words of Audre Lorde . . .
Healers will offer donation-based services such as thai massage, chair massage and energy treatment, and Reiki. There will also be a collective free-write and Reiki circle that everyone will be welcome to join. A more detailed list of what’s available will come next week. A hat for love offerings to the space will also be at the door.
